The campsite at Lago Maggiore is absolutely perfect! Although it is small, the camping spots are spacious enough. I highly suggest reserving a waterfront site, as it offers a stunning view of the lake and mountains. The only drawback is that our particular spot had no grass at all. However, other areas seemed to be in better condition.
