Maria Pia Beach

This beach is absolutely lovely - it's long and the water is calm and clear. It's also less crowded than the beaches closer to town. The only downside is that there aren't any public restrooms nearby, which is why I'm taking off one star.

Lido di Alghero beach

This charming beach located close to the Alghero old town is a hidden gem that often goes unappreciated. Despite its popularity, it remains underrated and unspoiled. The crystal-clear waters are shallow and stretch out for a considerable distance, while the sand is soft and fine. The beach is spacious and never feels overcrowded, allowing you to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing experience. If you wish to rent a lounger, La Marina offers them for a reasonable price of €12, and they also have a small shop. I found myself drawn to this beach and visited it almost daily.

This serene beach remains tranquil even during the bustling month of August, boasting crystal clear and immaculate water. The soft and powdery sand is delightfully non-adhesive, ensuring a comfortable experience for beachgoers. The expansive surroundings are adorned with lush pine and other trees, providing ample shade and a picturesque backdrop for a day of leisurely indulgence in the sun, water, and sand.

The beach was absolutely amazing, with its pristine white sand and breathtaking views of the historical lookout tower. We were delighted to find a cozy little restaurant that was open during our visit in March.

While not the top contender on my list of Sardinian beaches, this particular stretch of coastline is certainly pleasant and pleasantly devoid of crowds. The surrounding scenery adds a special touch to the experience.
