Keracut Beach

Undoubtedly, the most exceptional beach in Penang is a hidden gem, which is not easily accessible. One can reach there either by hiking for 4 km through the Penang National Park or by taking a boat. However, I would suggest hiking over and taking a boat back. The beach boasts of white sands and blue waters, which are not crowded, providing an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Although it can get hot, there is plenty of shade around to relax and enjoy the serene ambiance. One can spend hours here, and the beach is well-maintained. However, it is not safe for swimming due to jellyfish and rough tides, so visitors must take the necessary precautions and swim at their own risk. Lastly, make sure to visit the turtle sanctuary located at the end of the beach, which is a great initiative towards preserving marine life.

While this beach has the potential to be a great spot, the litter problem is a major issue. Plastic and garbage are scattered all over the beach, including plastic bags, utensils, food containers, bottles, cups, and even dirty diapers. We managed to collect a significant amount of trash from a small section of the beach, most of which was left behind by visitors. It's disappointing that some people feel it's acceptable to dump rubbish in a beautiful natural setting like this.

Teluk Kampi Beach

This beach is quite lackluster, not worth the effort to trek to. The camping sites are subpar and the common hall is nothing special. The public toilets are not well-maintained and are quite unpleasant to use. Overall, I would not recommend visiting this beach.

Moonlight Bay beach

This stunning beach is an idyllic spot for swimming, boasting crystal-clear blue waters that are perfect for taking a refreshing dip. The shallow depth of the water also makes it a safe and enjoyable spot for children to splash around in. It's undoubtedly one of the most beautiful beaches you'll ever have the pleasure of visiting.

Kilat Beach

This beach may not be well-known, but it is truly a hidden gem. If you're looking for a serene and tranquil place to unwind, this is the perfect spot. The peaceful atmosphere is truly remarkable, and I am grateful to the authorities for maintaining the area so impeccably.

Tanjung Bungah Beach

This beach nestled on the northern coastline is a true gem that has captured the hearts of many locals. Its long stretch of pristine sand offers the perfect opportunity to take a leisurely stroll or simply bask in the sun's warm embrace. With its tranquil atmosphere and breathtaking views, this beach is the ultimate destination for those seeking a moment of peace and relaxation. So why not pack a picnic, grab a good book, and spend a day in paradise at this idyllic beach?
