Golden Beach Trombol

Trombol Beach, also known as Golden Beach, is a hidden gem located just a half-hour drive from Kuching. Despite its quaint and secluded nature, this beach is a paradise for photographers and models. With a backdrop of small islands, including Satang Island, Trombol Beach offers a post-apocalyptic scenery that is eerily picturesque. The vast desert-like landscape is scattered with uprooted trees, abandoned boats, and debris lining the 10km coastline. During our visit, Michelle and I had the entire beach to ourselves, as there was nobody around. To get to Trombol Beach, we recommend searching for the telecommunications tower on the map and asking locals for directions. The entrance is closed, so the way to access the beach is through a 5-minute walk through the forest. It's best to wear long pants and insect repellent, as the walk through the forest is swarming with mosquitoes, and there is a possibility of getting bitten by sand-flies when you enter the beach.

Damai Beach

The atmosphere is lovely, with a stunning sunset and a refreshing breeze. It's a great spot to relax, although it does require a lengthy drive from Kuching town.

Pasir Panjang Beach
4 Nalani Cruz

The breathtaking view of the sea and the close proximity to Mount Santubong are the highlights of this beach. However, the overall ambiance is marred by the unclean surroundings due to the careless disposal of waste by some locals. Visitors are required to pay an entrance fee of RM2 per adult to access the beach.

Golden Beach

You have to pay RM15 to enter, but once you're inside, there's not much to see besides the beach. Unfortunately, the beach is quite dirty due to all the trash that washes up on shore, and it doesn't seem to be well-maintained. However, it's very peaceful and could be a good spot for a date.
