Praia da Baia

The expansive sandy beach is brimming with surfers, offering a prime location for lessons and an intriguing spectacle of surfing schools in action. Though the ocean waters may be chilly, there are a few rocky lakes that provide a suitable spot for knee-deep wading, especially for children. The beach is abuzz with beach games and activities, adding to the lively atmosphere. Conveniently accessible from Porto's old town, the beach can be reached via the urban train line from either Campanha or Sao Bento station towards Espinho. The train stops directly on the beach, and the Andante card is valid for this line, which runs approximately every 30 minutes.

Wow! I cannot speak highly enough about this place. The reservoir is absolutely massive, offering a few fantastic deep areas perfect for diving. The sandy beach is blessed with abundant sunshine throughout the day (so I highly suggest bringing a beach umbrella). Without a doubt, I will be returning to this place in the near future.

The shoreline boasts a serene ambiance with its lengthy and undisturbed beaches. The sand is a magnificent shade of gold that gleams in the sunlight. Close by, you can explore a vast lagoon and a nature sanctuary that offers a scenic walkway. However, one must exercise caution when swimming as the waves can be quite powerful and may sweep you away if you are not careful.
