What a hidden treasure! The parking nearby the beach is complimentary, but be prepared for a crowd. The beach boasts a waterfall at one end and showers at the other, making it a convenient spot for a refreshing rinse. The sand is a unique and beautiful black volcanic variety, but be mindful as it can cling to everything. The nearby restaurant is a delightful spot to indulge in tasty and reasonably priced local cuisine, making it a must-visit destination.

Piscinas de Ponta Delgada

This beachfront location is the ultimate spot to enjoy a meal while taking in the breathtaking scenery. The hospitality of the staff is unmatched, and Padro truly elevated our experience with his exceptional skills in crafting the most delicious Poncha on the island.

Praia da Madalena do Mar

This pebble beach may be small, but it's perfectly adequate for a day out. It's situated at the end of the promenade from the main road, but it's recommended to park further up and walk down. The beach itself is entirely pebbled, and the current can be strong, so it's best to have company. Lifeguards aren't present in the area, so it's important to be cautious. The pier is a great spot for swimming or fishing. At the end of the promenade, you'll find a small playground for children and two cafes/bars where you can relax in the shade and grab a bite to eat or drink.
