Thompsons beach

This is a nice beach if you want to sit in the sun and do nothing. There is not enough space for anything else really. If you want to bodysurf,go somewhere else. The swimming area is crammed between two sets of rock with a strong ripcurrent the result. The lifeguards seem therefore to often limit the safe swimming area between the flags to a very small area, cramming all the swimmers like sardines. The waves broke as shorebreak right on the beach when we were there,so no chance for a decent bodysurf without eating sand face first. If you just want to jump up and down in a shorebreak,go for it. The large tidal pool (Charlie's Pool) right next to the beach is nice for relaxed bathing even in bad storms. The hole in the wall next to the tidal pool is very Instagrammable.

We held our four-day Company conference at the Capital Zimbali resort with over 100 delegates, and it was absolutely fantastic! The resort's location was ideal, and the service we received was truly outstanding. The food provided was of the highest quality. I want to give a special shout out to Letato, Siya, and the entire team for taking such great care of us. I cannot stress enough how highly I recommend this resort for both personal and professional purposes. If you're in search of an incredible vacation or conference venue, this place should definitely be at the top of your list.

The beach offers a great space for cycling, walking, and running, and also has local food options and a relaxed atmosphere perfect for enjoying a cold beer. Bikes of all types are available for rent on an hourly basis, making it easy to explore the area. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a cable ride for a stunning view of the surrounding scenery.

Umdloti South beach

The beach is incredibly clean! The strong winds made the sand feel like sharp pieces of glass against our skin. It was disappointing that we had to get a municipal pass, especially since we traveled a long distance, and we couldn't even access the restaurants. However, despite these drawbacks, it remains our family's preferred destination.

This stunning beach is located at the northern end of the Ballito Promenade and is a true gem. With an abundance of benches, you can relax and take in the breathtaking views without even having to step onto the sand. For those who do want to get their feet wet, Willard beach is a popular surfing spot. But the excitement doesn't stop there, as The Ghost House and a secluded tidal pool can be found at the northern end of the beach, adding to the allure of this already picturesque location.
