Noordhoek - all beaches

Undoubtedly, the Atlantic side of Cape Town has my heart when it comes to beaches, and this particular one is my absolute favourite. One must not miss the chance to discover the mesmerizing rock formations located on the far right of the beach. However, during peak season, parking can be a tad bit challenging, and in such cases, opting for Uber is a wise decision.

When driving south on Chapman Peak Drive, you can't help but be captivated by the breathtaking view of this expansive beach. The sand boasts a pristine pearly white color, while the water gradually transitions into mesmerizing shades of turquoise. Eager to explore the beach, I was taken aback by the peculiar experience of wading through wide shallow water tainted by horse droppings. After traversing a long stretch of deep sand, we finally reached the shoreline. However, our timing was unfortunate as the sun was on the verge of setting, prompting us to retrace our steps through the sandy terrain and muddy patches in order to return to the parking lot.

This beach is truly a gem, boasting breathtaking scenery that will leave you in awe. It's the perfect spot to unwind and soak up some tranquility, with plenty of options for dining and refreshments at charming seaside eateries. Whether you're looking to simply lounge on the sand or explore the surrounding area, this beach has it all. Come and experience the natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere for yourself.

This beach is a hidden gem with adorable penguins, pristine water, unique rock formations, and soft white sand. It's important to show respect for both the beach and its feathered residents.

This picturesque beach is perfect for a peaceful morning walk before the hustle and bustle of the day begins. It is also welcoming to furry friends, and there is a cozy café right at the entrance where you can grab a cup of coffee. However, it is important to note that there have been recent sewerage spills, so it is best to wait for the authorities to declare the water safe for swimming. The water here is warmer than on the Atlantic Seaboard side, which means that shark sightings may occur occasionally, but the area is closely monitored. Parking is plentiful, including spots for those with disabilities.

This seaside destination is a personal favorite of mine, as it never fails to provide a sense of serenity and tranquility. The calming atmosphere is perfect for finding inner peace and unwinding.
