Playa De Corralejo

A beach that's pleasing to the eye, but don't be fooled by its beauty. It's nothing more than a facade.

This place is perfect for water sports such as windsurfing and offers plenty of sunshine for those wanting to relax in the sun. There is a large cliff overlooking the beach and a rather bumpy, rocky road leading down from El Cotillo. The car park is full of rocks, so be sure to get full insurance on your hire car to avoid any mishaps. Don't forget to bring parasols if you plan to stay in the sun for a while as it can get quite hot!

This beach near El Puertito is a great spot for those who are looking for a calmer atmosphere. It's much less crowded than the main beach, and the wind is usually a lot more gentle. It's the perfect place to relax and take in the beauty of the ocean.

Corralejo Beach

This place is not very clean, with lots of plastic debris around, and there is a warning about the water being contaminated so swimming is not advised.

Playa El Charcon

This beach is an ideal spot for beginner surfers, with its mellow and mushy waves providing the perfect opportunity for long white water rides. It's quite an unusual spot for the North Shore, as the waves break in a disordered fashion. Whether the waves are big or small, there's always some foam to ride. Longboarders may also find it suitable when the conditions are glassy and small. It's a great spot all year round, but it's important to note that this beach is primarily a windsurf spot. If windsurfers are rigging or you're surfing and they start sailing, it's best to leave the water for your own safety. © Surfer Map
