Platja de l'Espigo

This spot is a real paradise! The crystal clear water is simply mesmerizing, and the only downside is the lack of sand - instead, there are stones. Nevertheless, it's still an amazing spot to relax and take in the beauty of nature.

Playa la Roda

Altea's beach is absolutely amazing!

Mascarat Beach

This hidden gem of a beach is definitely worth seeking out! Trust your sat nav to take you to it, as we did when we stayed up the road in Calp. The water is crystal clear, and you can hire snorkels nearby at Infinity Sea. The beach bar is laid back and friendly, and the beach is covered with gray pebbles. Just be aware that it's a favorite spot for nudists, but they tend to stay at one end!

Platja del Bol Nou

This location , tucked away between towering cliffs, is a short train ride away from Alicante, and easy to find with Google Maps. The sand is a mix of both sand and stones, so it's best to wear sandals, but it's also comfortable to go without. As the cliffs surround the beach, it gets a bit darker earlier than usual when the sun sets.

Cala el Charco

This beach is ideal for those who have a dog or a camper van, or both.

Playa Carritxal

This spot has an unconventional entrance, but the atmosphere is rather uninspiring. Access to the water can be tricky, however the beach is spotless. If you're into fishing, this is the perfect spot for you.
