Gonen - all beaches

Upon arrival, I had hoped for complimentary sunbeds with food and drink purchases, however, this was not the case. Despite this, we proceeded to rent sun loungers and relax on the beach. After a refreshing swim in the sea, I felt a pang of hunger and decided to indulge in a hamburger. Unfortunately, the burger was lacking in size and substance, with only a small meatball included. Furthermore, the restroom and changing facilities were not up to par, especially considering the cost of the overall experience. Overall, the amenities could have been improved to better justify the pricing.

The pristine waters of the beach are adorned with the prestigious blue flag, ensuring its cleanliness and safety. The crystal clear sea is a sight to behold, inviting visitors to take a refreshing dip and indulge in water activities. The beach is a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, offering a serene ambiance that soothes the soul. With its natural beauty and tranquil surroundings, the beach is a haven for those seeking a peaceful retreat.

The ocean is a stunning sight to behold, with schools of fish and playful crabs frolicking in its crystal-clear waters. The ocean floor is covered in glittering yellow sand, making every step a joyous experience. While there are some areas that may be covered in moss, it does not detract from the ocean's natural beauty. Even the presence of algae cannot diminish the breathtaking scenery that surrounds you.

This beach is situated in the heart of the coastline that extends from Karabiga to Denizkent. To reach it from the center of Biga, you'll need to pass through Şakirbey, Gümüşçay, and Çeşmealtı. Unfortunately, the beach and the surrounding area are in need of cleaning and improvement. However, with the development of the roads leading to the beach and the increase in social venues, it has the potential to attract more local tourists. If you're looking for a place to breathe in some fresh air, the bird flight to Biga is the closest coastline, which is approximately 22 km away.

The ocean tends to be wavy due to the north wind, making it perfect for those who enjoy playing in the waves. Despite not being very deep, it is still quite pleasant. When entering the water, there is a buildup of moss due to the waves, but it is usually cleaned out within a couple of meters. The sea is clean and free of garbage or other dirt, apart from some algae. Unlike its cousin, the Marmara, the sea here does not have a foul smell. Our family loves this beach. Let's talk about the mosquitoes, or as locals call them, stinging insects. They are not a major issue here, as they are present throughout the south Marmara region. If you do get stung, it will burn like fire, but the pain usually subsides within a few hours. The weather is fantastic, making you feel invigorated as you breathe in the fresh air. If possible, I would love to stay here year-round.
