Without meaning to offend the locals, I must say that the beach and the sea leave much to be desired. The concrete barrier that lines the entire coast is particularly unpleasant, with its uncomfortable and slippery steps. The slabs are as treacherous as ice, and one can only wonder how many people have been injured on them. The sea itself is disappointingly shallow, and the bottom feels like walking through a swamp, with mud squishing underfoot. The presence of grass and jellyfish only adds to the unpleasantness. And let's not forget the beach itself - it looks as though it's being rolled away each night. Putting up an umbrella requires a pick or crowbar, and the overall experience is akin to being on the side of a dirt road.
