Barry Island beach

I visited Barry Island for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the beach. It was an ideal spot for families with nearby options for good food and drinks. We had a fantastic day out, although the only downside was the poor condition of the toilets. However, considering it's a beach, it's not unexpected, but they were still below average. Despite this, I still rate my experience five stars and would definitely return as it was exactly what we were looking for. I also had the pleasure of trying O'Sheas fish and chips, which were outstanding. The curry sauce was possibly the best I've ever tasted, and the fish and chips were equally delicious.

This stunning beach boasts a charming blend of old stone architecture and modern design. Parking is conveniently available on the sandy shore, and visitors can look forward to experiencing one of the largest tidal ranges in the South of England. Located near the M5, this beach is easily accessible and perfect for a day trip or weekend getaway.

The strong tide is ruining our enjoyment. We had planned to stay, but since there is no water nearby, we have decided to go to the lake instead. We couldn't find any parking nearby.

This secluded beach offers a delightful stroll, perfect for nature enthusiasts and ocean lovers. The dramatic cliff coastline, characteristic of this region, adds to its charm. Unlike other beaches, this one remains untouched and lacks amenities such as cafes and toilets. For those seeking such facilities, it is recommended to visit Llantwit Major or Southerndown.

What a magnificent spot! Unlike some of the other beaches in Wales, this one isn't too crowded, so you can really relax and soak up the sun. And if you need a break from the sand and surf, there are toilets and refreshments conveniently located near the car park. Speaking of which, parking is available for just £5, and they even accept cards if you don't have cash. Just keep in mind that the lower car park only has a limited number of spots, so you might need to head to the overflow area. But don't worry, there are plenty of spaces there, and you can still catch the sunset if you remember to move your car before the gates close at 8pm. And the best part? This beach is the perfect place for a picnic on a gorgeous day.
