About Pembrokeshire

At first glance, the diversity of the beaches of the Pembrokeshire does not have a prominent distinctive feature. There is no clear predominance of mountain landscapes or crystal sea, on the contrary, everything seems balanced. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why the flow of tourists continues to grow from year to year.

Latest reviews on Pembrokeshire's beaches

Broadhaven Beach
10 Nirav Patel.

This particular beach in Pembrokeshire is undoubtedly one of the finest in the area. It should not be mistaken for Broadhaven South beach, which is located near Barafundle, especially for those who are visiting for the first time. The regulars, on the other hand, are well aware of its safety and the small waves that make it a perfect spot for various water activities such as SUPs, kayaking, bodyboarding, and longboard surfing. While some parts of the beach are dog-friendly, there are certain restrictions during the summer months.

Tenby south beach
10 Zoran Milic.

This stunning beach boasts immaculate cleanliness and orderliness. It is conveniently situated near the St Catherine Fort, a must-visit site that requires restoration. The Fort offers breathtaking panoramic views, which are made even more enjoyable by the perfect weather. I highly recommend this beach for a day trip. Tenby is another charming town to explore, with its abundance of delightful shops and top-notch amenities.

Barafundle Bay beach
10 Rashid Ali

The beach is a serene and picturesque location with a tranquil atmosphere. The stunning views are captivating and the sand is smooth and free of any pesky pebbles. The beach is not overcrowded, making it a peaceful retreat to unwind and appreciate the soothing sounds of the waves. The locals are amiable and hospitable, adding to the welcoming ambiance. Walking or hiking the two routes available, lasting either two or four hours, is highly recommended. The routes lead back to the Quay car park, which is pricey but definitely worth the expense. It is advisable to bring water bottles and some snacks for the journey. Our experience at the beach was nothing short of amazing.

Coppet Hall beach
8 Carter Grayson

The beach is stunningly clean and has a car park, but it can get crowded during peak season. Dogs are permitted in specific areas, and there is a fantastic coffee shop available. Unfortunately, the restaurant did not appear to be open during our visit, which is why we gave it four stars. The coastal path is accessible through tunnels that lead both East to Wiseman's Bridge and West to Saundersfoot. Disabled drivers are charged the standard parking rate but receive an extra hour for free. It's definitely worth checking out.

Skrinkle Haven beach
10 Charlie Thompson (The Hawk)

This is definitely one of the best spots in South Wales to unwind and enjoy the scenery. It's also a great place to take some stunning photos. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and I'm sure they're even more impressive when the sun is shining. I highly recommend adding this location to your list of must-visit places in Wales. You won't regret it!

Tenby North beach
10 Kai Tanaka

The seaside is an awe-inspiring and expansive stretch of land. The ocean is pristine and transparent, allowing you to see the depths below. It was a pleasant experience to indulge in delectable ice cream while basking in the warmth of the sun.

Finding hotels in relative proximity to the beaches is usually fine. Many beaches have enough nearby accommodation, which gives good opportunities to choose the right place to stay.

The hottest month of the region is July - air temperature during this time warms up to 19.1°C and water up to 16.5°C in August. The coldest month is January - air temperature drops to 8°C and water to 9.7°C.
