Barry Island beach
10 Burton Images by David

I visited Barry Island for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the beach. It was an ideal spot for families with nearby options for good food and drinks. We had a fantastic day out, although the only downside was the poor condition of the toilets. However, considering it's a beach, it's not unexpected, but they were still below average. Despite this, I still rate my experience five stars and would definitely return as it was exactly what we were looking for. I also had the pleasure of trying O'Sheas fish and chips, which were outstanding. The curry sauce was possibly the best I've ever tasted, and the fish and chips were equally delicious.

Trecco Bay Beach

We enjoy taking a stroll around Sandy Bay, especially the dunes, which our little dog absolutely adores. It's incredibly serene there. Additionally, there's a cozy café nearby where you can grab a bite to eat and enjoy a quick cup of tea near Trecco Bay campsite.

Weston Super Mare Beach

This stunning beach boasts a charming blend of old stone architecture and modern design. Parking is conveniently available on the sandy shore, and visitors can look forward to experiencing one of the largest tidal ranges in the South of England. Located near the M5, this beach is easily accessible and perfect for a day trip or weekend getaway.

Porthcawl beach
10 Sullivan Whitfield (Sully)

This beach in Porthcawl is probably the best one they have, mainly because of its large size and stunning bay views. Out of all the beaches I've been to, this is the one I've spent the most time at. It provides a more peaceful and enjoyable experience, with clearer waters compared to Sandy Bay.

There's a wonderful free car park located at the civic centre, allowing you to enjoy leisurely barefoot strolls along the beach. You can park for up to three hours without any charge.

This beach is absolutely charming and welcomes dogs. It's conveniently located right next to the water, and during low tide, you can stroll between the two beaches. The cleanliness is impressive, and there's even a concrete area to sit if you prefer not to be in the sand. Additionally, there are many shells to be found.
