Calm, measured rest and the sound of waves are perhaps the most common associations that arise with the word "beach". This is not surprising, as relaxation is exactly what many beach travelers are looking for. If you associate your vacation primarily with such activity, choose one of the 8 beaches in the island.

To make your choice easier, we have prepared a list of the best beaches for relaxation in Con Son.

Attraction and Infrastructure

As for the main features of the beaches of Con Son, they are as follows:

  • The island's beaches are mainly wide, moderate length and have a high level of cleanliness. The most common surface is sand of bright color.
  • Usually, entry into the water is gentle, which is very good for kids. There are 7 such beaches.
  • An important clarification, 6 beaches in the island have a long intertidal zone, which means that during low tide hours you may have to travel a considerable distance. This is also something to consider if you don't want to suddenly be in the water at high tide.
  • The average distance from the road to beach in Con Son is less than 500 meters. 6 beaches are relatively easy to access, and 2 beaches are only accessible from the water. The latter include both island beaches and beaches with no land routes due to the natural borders.

Wild beaches with no infrastructure dominate the coastline of Con Son however, even here you can find a beach with a standard set of accessories: sun beds, umbrellas, restaurants, showers and toilets.

Dam Trau Beach

This beach may not be as luxurious as St. Martin, but it is located on Con Dao Island in Vietnam and offers a unique view of planes landing. However, it is important to be cautious as there are many sand flies present, which can be quite bothersome.

An Hai Beach

This stunning beach with breathtaking views that will leave you in awe. However, nestled in the heart of the beach lies a large, unpleasant river that emits an unpleasant odor. Additionally, the presence of sand flies can turn this otherwise idyllic location into a nightmare.

Shy Beach

This place was my absolute favorite spot on the entire island, and even in all of Vietnam. The views here are absolutely breathtaking, and the ocean is incredibly beautiful. The various shades of blue are truly magnificent. I highly recommend paying a visit and taking a swim here. While there is still some litter around, it is significantly less compared to other beaches on the island.

Bang Beach
10 Sarina Nadeem.

This is an ideal spot to unwind and connect with nature! Feel free to embrace your natural state if you desire. Here, it's just you and the great outdoors!

Dat Tham Beach

While making my way to Dat Tham beach, I encountered a distressing situation where three dogs attacked me as I passed by the national park office in the midst of the jungle. Despite calling out for help, the individuals sitting in front of the office did not respond. Fortunately, the dogs eventually left after around 10 minutes. Although the waterfalls were stunning, I would advise against continuing on to Da Tham beach.

Finding hotels in relative proximity to the beaches is usually fine. Many beaches have enough nearby accommodation, which gives good opportunities to choose the right place to stay.

The hottest month of the island is May - air temperature during this time warms up to 29.9°C and water up to 30.5°C. The coldest month is January - air temperature drops to 25.6°C and water to 25.7°C. Air and water temperature allows you to relax comfortably in the island all year round, which is enjoyed by tourists and locals.
