Playa Espadillo, although visually stunning, is unfortunately a popular tourist destination. The beach is overcrowded, especially at the south end where people from all over the world flock to visit Manuel Antonio Park. Parking is a nightmare, as parking hustlers demand money for a spot. Even if you give them a fair amount, they may still become aggressive. This is a common issue in Quepos and Manuel Antonio, but not elsewhere in Costa Rica. Despite this, the water is warm and the tropical environment is beautiful. However, it's hard to fully enjoy the beach with the constant crowds and parking problems.

This beach is certainly a sight for sore eyes. It's so picturesque, it's almost like a postcard come to life. However, don't be fooled by its beauty, as there is an entry fee to gain access. I can't recall the exact amount I paid, but I do remember feeling a little miffed about it. That being said, I suppose it was worth it to experience such splendor. Be prepared to share the beach with a multitude of other visitors, as it's quite popular. And if you get peckish, there are plenty of options for food and drink nearby.
