Antigua boasts a plethora of stunning beaches, but this particular one holds a special place in my heart. Despite the presence of towering hotels, the beach retains its natural charm and tranquility, allowing you to take leisurely strolls and bask in the beauty of the sea. This idyllic spot is a must-visit for anyone seeking a serene and picturesque escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

We have been here for 10 days, staying at Antigua Village. The beach is beautiful white sand, somewhat narrow, close to a mile long which we walked end to end daily. The water is the quintessential Caribbean aqua blue and ranges from calm to a little wavy depending on the day's winds. There are a couple of restaurant / bars and a local BBQ spot. It gets crowded in the areas where the cruise ship tourists go but they are mostly far down the beach from the hotel and condos area. Of course there are vendors but they are not too bothersome. Sunsets here are awesome. We love this beach and would not hesitate to return.

What a stunning strip of sand! The beach is a true masterpiece with breathtaking vistas of the sun setting over the horizon. The scenery is so awe-inspiring that it feels like you're in a dream. This is the kind of place where you can truly unwind and forget about all your worries. The sunsets are truly remarkable, and the colors are so vivid that they look like they're straight out of a painting. This is a beach that will leave you speechless and make you want to come back time and time again.

Απόλαυσα την παραλία του Φορτ Τζέιμς. Όλες οι παραλίες στην Αντίγκουα είναι πραγματικά όμορφες, αλλά εάν σας αρέσουν κάπως ισχυρότερα κύματα, αυτή είναι η παραλία για εσάς. Ήταν αρκετά ήσυχο όταν πήγαμε, οπότε ήταν σαν να ήμασταν σε μια ιδιωτική παραλία ☺️

Η παραλία Runaway είναι μια ωραία παραλία με ήρεμα κύματα. Ορισμένα τμήματα της παραλίας έχουν περιορισμένη πρόσβαση μέσω προσθήκης βράχων και επεκτεινόμενων υποστήλων, έτσι η παραλία είναι κατακερματισμένη. Παρόλα αυτά, κάθε τμήμα της παραλίας είναι ωραίο.

After reading reviews, we anticipated having to walk a bit since we only had a rented Toyota Yaris, but we managed to drive all the way to the beach. The beach is fantastic and we had it all to ourselves, enjoying the sight of passing boats and a pelican nesting nearby. The only drawback was the litter left by inconsiderate people on the roadside.

Although the beach is undeniably secluded, it is not isolated to the point where you can comfortably sunbathe without considering the presence of a nearby extravagant mansion. Regrettably, along the trail, there is evidence of people discarding garbage. Children might not find it appealing to walk along this path, but for individuals who enjoy taking leisurely strolls, reside in the vicinity, desire a tranquil beach experience, and relish sitting on the rocks while listening to the crashing waves, it is a worthwhile destination.
