The beach has a spacious parking lot that includes two picnic tables. There is also a walking path available. The beach is easily accessible for vans, although there is a 2-meter barrier. Additionally, there are automatic toilets on-site, but they are closed from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. It is possible to sleep at the beach, but in the morning, there are dog walkers and joggers. However, it's important to note that during high tide, the beach becomes submerged, so it's advisable to swim further away.
The beach is conveniently located by the sea and offers a nearby hiking trail.
When I first relocated to Quimper a decade ago in 2011, a friend of mine introduced me to this beach. It's a bit off the beaten path, and finding a parking spot can be quite challenging, but it's absolutely breathtaking. Stretching for 3.5km, the beach is long, shallow, and covered in soft sand (I've run its entire length countless times). I visit during the winter for my runs and in the summer for swimming. It never gets overly crowded, making it a perfect beach for families with its gentle waters and predictable tides. Even though it's a well-known local gem, it remains the best-kept secret in the area. Last night, I experienced a high tide (thanks to the blue moon) and the waves were a bit choppy. Nevertheless, it was an incredible swim. During high tide, accessing the beach itself becomes a bit more challenging as the water reaches the man-made wave breaks, but it's still a short walk to the whitest sand I've ever laid eyes on. When the tide is low, there's more beach than there will ever be people to fill it. Simply magnificent.
There is ample free parking available at this beautiful sandy beach. Additionally, you will find a multitude of hermit crabs in abundance!
