The only thing we wished for was to have tea making facilities in our room. The pool is incredibly spacious and fantastic, complete with a great bar. The entire staff, from the Manager to the rest, were extremely helpful and had a positive attitude.
The room was great, especially since we went as a group of 4 and had a connected room which was perfect. The housekeeping was also excellent and did a fantastic job every day. The hotel staff, particularly Diana and Lorena who worked at the restaurant and bar, were incredibly friendly and helpful. However, we did encounter some unhelpfulness from the reception staff, but eventually, we were able to resolve our issues.
We stayed at this resort for 9 nights starting from September 22nd. When we arrived, the check-in process went smoothly. The receptionist was friendly, and they had left some food and drinks in our room, which was a nice gesture. However, upon entering the room, we noticed a musty smell, as if it had been vacant for a while. The room itself had an outdated appearance and could use some renovations. There were peeling plaster and old yellow air conditioning buttons. Additionally, there were only 2 plug sockets, including the one for the TV, and they were not conveniently located near the bed. Despite these issues, the bed was comfortable and didn't separate like many hotel beds do. The room also had memory foam toppers, and the view of the garden and beach was beautiful. After staying in the room for a day or two, the musty smell eventually dissipated. The housekeeping staff were friendly, although it seemed like they didn't clean during our stay or change the sheets frequently (they were changed every 2 or 3 days). One morning, they even knocked on our door before 9 am while we were still sleeping. Unfortunately, on our second night, the hotel decided to switch the air conditioning to heating without informing us, resulting in a hot room throughout the night. We had to wait for 2 days to receive a fan, and we learned that another couple didn't receive one at all. The heat made it difficult to sleep on a few nights, and we noticed that the air conditioning in the spa was still functioning. The breakfast was not particularly enjoyable, as it often consisted of the same items such as eggs, bacon, sausages, and a continental buffet. Occasionally, they would serve baked beans or potato bites. However, the lunch and dinner options were good, and the meat dishes were consistently well-cooked and delicious. The chefs were friendly and would often walk around during dinner time to wish guests a pleasant meal. The waitstaff were also friendly, although there were instances where they didn't offer drinks or misunderstood our orders (though nothing major). The hotel seemed to have a wasp and mosquito problem, as they had bags hanging in the trees and around the outdoor dining areas, but these didn't seem to deter the insects. I was bitten over 40 times, and my partner was stung twice by wasps (although we understand that this is sometimes unavoidable given the environment). The staff at the pool bar weren't always the friendliest, but the area was kept clean, and empty cups were regularly collected. The beach area was lovely and became our favorite spot to relax, as we could find shade under the olive trees and watch the water sports activities. The hotel also had a dive center, and we had a fantastic experience snorkeling. I also treated myself to a massage at the spa, and it was absolutely wonderful. The spa staff were very friendly, and it was definitely the highlight of my trip. Overall, I wouldn't consider this a true 4-star hotel, but it certainly isn't the worst hotel ever as some have claimed.
My stay was fantastic, although the rooms could have been cleaner and the inventory is quite outdated. The food was average, with a rating of 3 out of 5, but the exceptional staff more than made up for it, resulting in a positive 4-star review. The students serving guests at the bar were particularly delightful and well-organized, surpassing any previous experiences I've had. While the hotel may not be the best, the staff and location are truly remarkable.
Positive aspects: - The cuisine is enjoyable. While the assortment may not be extensive, all the food is of high quality. - The children's club is a great feature. The overall animation is pleasant, and the animators make an effort to give attention to each child in the group. - The sea is beautiful, offering magnificent views. - The staff is incredibly hospitable. Every employee is cheerful and willing to assist. Negative aspects: - The all-inclusive package is not truly all-inclusive. The available eating times are quite limited. The cold sandwiches are quite disappointing. The afternoon sweets at the pool bar from 6:00 to 7:00 pm are a joke, as they consist of only one piece of cake. - The hotel's furnishings and equipment are in need of renewal. - The hotel is not easily accessible. It takes over two hours to reach from Thessaloniki. - There are no other nearby options to explore. The closest village can only be reached on foot, and it is over three kilometers away, which can be challenging due to the daytime heat.
