There are a couple of easily accessible beaches by the lake. When we arrived, all the parking spaces were taken so we had to drive to the southeastern side of the lake, right at the tip, next to a place called ill chiosco. Its beach is located right in front of the small passage to the island in the lake. Although it may not be the most beautiful beach, it does have plenty of parking space near the helicopter landing spot. To reach the lake, we had to descend about 50 stone stairs with a baby stroller. Many parents give up before attempting it and leave the stroller at the top, choosing to go down without it. However, I managed to take it all the way down and it was helpful for us. Getting it back up was a challenge, but not too difficult. With some patience, we were able to make it. Walking around the lake is possible, but the ground is very rough for the stroller. So, you either need to be patient or carry the child with a special harness on your body. The water is absolutely amazing, amazing!!! We brought floating mattresses and other floaters and slowly floated towards the center of the lake. The silence in the middle of the turquoise lake felt like something out of a zen movie. I floated on my back with the kids, holding hands and encouraging them to embrace the silence. It was the best experience of our trip in Italy. It was so unexpected. I already miss it. Just make sure that when you swim with the floaters towards the center of the lake, you have enough strength and time to return. We did it right before sunset and had to rush back before the sun set completely because it gets cold afterwards. When on the beach, it's advisable to wear sandals or flip flops as the ground is covered with small rocks and it can be painful. Bring some water toys like water guns and bubbles. It's great for kids. My children spent hours playing with their toys. You can easily spend 6-8 hours in the lake. In the evening, when people leave and it becomes empty, it truly looks like a piece of paradise. However, if you're wet, it can get cold. All in all, it's an experience you must have in Italy!
The lake is absolutely stunning for swimming, and you have the option to leap into the water from the rocks.
The lake is absolutely stunning with its crystal-clear water. However, there is only one buffet available for purchasing drinks or food, which is quite disappointing. As the afternoon progressed, hordes of tourists arrived by bus, prompting us to quickly leave the area.
It's the type of beach that makes you feel like you're in paradise, only to snap back to reality when you realize you left your shoes behind and are now walking on jagged pebbles.
The lake is stunningly secluded, with water that has a unique appearance. It's just a short 150-meter stroll from the parking area. While there may not be many activities to partake in, everyone seems to take pleasure in skipping stones across the lake.
