During this Second World War and British history 1798 to 1979 tour you will visit Vittoriosa and Valletta. Entrances to the War Museum and the Air Shelters are also included.
Discover the Grand Harbour area opposite Valletta known as the Three Cities – Vittoriosa, Cospicua and Senglea, where the Knights of St. John first settled in 1530. Driving past Cospicua we reach Vittoriosa for a guided walking tour through the narrow streets in the shade of historic buildings, including the first auberges of the various langues of the Order. At the Vittoriosa waterfront we take a typical harbour boat (dghajsa) for a tour of the colourful harbour creeks. From the Senglea Garden, situated at the tip of the peninsula, enjoy a stunning 360° view of the Grand Harbour, including the impressive Fort Sant Angelo from where Grand Master La Valette led the defence of the island during the Great Siege of 1565.
Don't go through all the hassle of waiting in a long shuttle queue and use our private, door to door airport transfer. A professional driver will meet you in the hotel reception and take you directly to Malta International Airport. Choose from three comfortable vehicles to suit your group size. For groups of up to 4 we offer station wagon cars that can accommodate 4 pieces of luggage and hand luggage. Alternatively, for larger groups of 5 - 8 passengers you have the option of a minivan that accommodates 8 pieces of luggage and hand luggage. In some cases you may also request a minibus for maximum comfort, which is suitable for a maximum of 16 passengers with 1 piece of luggage and hand luggage per person. Hope you enjoy your stay in MALTA!
The Three Cities is a collective description of the three fortified cities of Cospicua, Vittoriosa and Senglea. During the tour you will drive past Cospicua, you will then arrive in Vittoriosa. The third city Senglea is also called Civitas Invicta because it managed to resist the Ottoman invasion at the Great Siege of 1565. You will then drive to the 1743 ir-Razzett l-Antik Qormi. The wine tasting tour commences with a historical introduction amongst original artefacts, followed by an explanation about the process of how the locally grown grapes are pressed, fermented and eventually transformed into wine. The wine sampling is held in the restaurant, where trained staff guide guests through a wine tasting session to sample different Maltese wines accompanied by a selection of local savouries like Maltese bread and cheese.
