Get ready to discover the process of tea manufacturing, with a guide you will learn about the harvested tea leaves and the tea factory whilst understanding the different steps of production. You may then continue with a tea tasting in the chalet, 'Le chalet du Domaine de Bois Chéri' overlooking the domaine and 'Le lac des Cygnes du Domaine de Bois Chéri', a truly unmissable experience! The lake is surrounded by the first tea plantations with tea plants of at least 125 years old.  You will then learn about the process of sugar manufacturing which will be explained by your guide with the opportunity of tasting local rums by the first producer of agricultural rums made of sugarcane juice in Mauritius. A local lunch will be served on the veranda of 'Saint Aubin' a colonial house turned into a restaurant with a magnificent garden view. Also part of your visit is 'La Vanille Réserve des Mascareignes' park with unforgettable walks among rare reptiles and endemic plants.

We also provide taxis at the Mauritius Cruise Terminal in Port Louis. Cruise ships arrive in Mauritius between October and March each year. We usually operate 24/7, but late-night transfers can also be prearranged upon request. For departure (hotel pick-up), we recommend that your preferred pick-up time be at least 3 hours before your flight time due to the traffic conditions in Mauritius. Use Google Maps to determine distance and travel time, or talk to us about it. Always mention the child’s age in the booking if you are ordering a child or toddler seat. Please include any special requests in the space provided in your booking. If you will be bringing surfboards, golf bags, or other items that don’t count as normal luggage, please indicate that here as well. Drivers can only speak English, French, Hindi, and other local languages.

The central market is one of the best places to experience the best Mauritian food. You will find fresh, deep-fried gato pima, or chili bites. Made with soaked split peas, zingy spring onions, and green chilies, these really do pop in your mouth. Next, travel through the gates of the Chinatown of Port Louis to discover treats derived from Hakka Chinese dishes. The tour includes about 8 different dishes to try. Along the way, explore the old buildings, the Company Garden with their amazing hanging Banyan trees, the busy market and China Town.

Discover the enchanting Tamarind Falls, known locally as 7 Waterfalls, on a captivating hike through Mauritius' lush heartland. This adventure takes you through tropical forests and volcanic landscapes, revealing five of the seven stunning waterfalls. This hike offers a rewarding exploration of Mauritius’ natural beauty. You’ll traverse narrow trails, climb some steep sections, and enjoy expansive viewpoints overlooking cascading waters and deep canyons. Please note: This trek is medium level, but some parts can be challenging and may be difficult for seniors, young children, or those with limited mobility. We recommend sturdy shoes for uneven terrain. Along the way, enjoy refreshing swims in natural pools carved by the falls and a well-deserved waterfall massage. Ideal for active families and those comfortable with moderate hiking, this approximately 3-hour trek allows time to relax and swim in tranquil surroundings. Le Morne Brabant Mountain, situated as part of the Le Morne peninsula at the extreme southwestern tip of Mauritius is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Mauritius and a UNESCO World Heritage Site Since its inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2008, Le Morne Brabant was closed to the public but after much deliberation, it was officially reopened to the public in 2016. The majestic Morne Brabant mountain has been welcoming thousands of local and foreign visitors ever since. According to the Director of the World Heritage Centre, Dr Mechtild Rössler, "this opening represents a major achievement towards increasing the enhancement and conservation of the site."

This experience invites guests to share a moment of Mauritian family life in a peaceful rural sugarcane village in the north of the island, near an old historic sugar mill. The workshop takes place in our traditional outdoor family kitchen beside a small farm, surrounded by nature and the rhythms of village life. Together we prepare a full Mauritian meal using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients, sometimes cooking over a wood fire as many families still do. Guests participate in the cooking before we sit down to enjoy the dishes in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. Sometimes members of my family are present, adding to the warm and authentic spirit of sharing food, stories, and traditions around the table.
