This place is amazing, especially because the only way to get here is by boat or a long hike! After several hours of walking up and over the hills of Ilha Grande, you finally arrive in Two Rivers. This is a prison where the CV Red Command, one of Brazil's most violent gangs (second to PCC), was created. You can even visit and take a look inside!
There are a few restaurants, but be careful because it might take a really long time to get your food. You don't want to end up walking home in the dark, so make sure to head back with at least two hours of sunlight!
There are several abandoned houses and mansions, but if you decide to explore, remember to be respectful and cautious as these houses are in a state of disrepair.
The beach itself is long, beautiful, and very clean. Being on the Oceanside, there is less trash and fewer visitors!
Take a swim in the ocean and then cool off in the river. It's incredibly refreshing, almost like jumping into a pool after being in the ocean.
Here's a tip: along the road to Two Rivers, you'll find multiple little trails and entrances. If you walk for just five minutes, you'll come across numerous waterfalls, springs, and pools.

The beach at Ilha Grande is absolutely amazing. You can reach this spot on the island either by walking or by taking a boat. The walking path is always flat and easy, but it can take up to 3 hours from Abraão. Most people choose to walk. There aren't any places to eat or buy water, and there's no shade from the sun. You can bring your own supplies, but camping and lighting fires are not allowed. On the way to the Dois Rios beach, there is a small village where some locals live, but none of the houses are available for rent or overnight stays. So, if you plan on staying longer at the beach, be cautious about going down that path at night. You will have to walk back to Abraão in total darkness, which can be tiring and risky. The local villagers are not allowed to assist or provide any infrastructure in case of emergencies. I recommend enjoying the daylight and leaving before sunset or within a 3-hour timeframe that allows for a safe walk back to the main district of the island. Some people may be lucky enough to find accommodations at Lopes Mendes beach or Pouso beach, but it might be difficult to find a last-minute option, as there may not be a direct walking trail to get there. It's also not reliable to rely on cell phone reception, as the connection can be weak.
