As we strolled along the beach, we stumbled upon a charming restaurant with all the amenities. If there was a rating of 4.5, this beach would have definitely received it. I was pleasantly surprised because most things are usually overrated. The greeting, atmosphere, and overall setting were very good. I've heard that the sunset there is amazing. When I arrived, I was greeted at the front door and given the option to choose my seating. I also enjoyed a cold beer while walking around and taking a few pictures of the great view. When I was ready, I placed my order without feeling rushed. There were quite a few other guests, but it didn't affect the service. The presentation of the food was great. The grilled lobster was cooked perfectly, the shrimp and white fish fillet were delicious, and the veggies and rice complemented the meal well. It was a bit pricey at $35, but it was a special treat for my vacation. Each beer was $5, which was reasonable. I do want to mention that there were some reports of a dirty washroom, but I personally used it twice and didn't find any issues. There is a flush water bucket for the toilet, which may seem unusual, but it's not a big deal. The beach is right there, so the water is filled up by an employee. There were also reports of no toilet paper, but that is false. As for hand sanitizer, if it was important to me, I would have brought my own, which I did. Oh, and there is plenty of sanitizer available at the front entry if you keep your eyes open. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth the money and the $35 cab fare (round trip) from Playa Paraiso, for example. Cheers, Dan

My husband and I recently had an incredible week at Melia Cayo Guillermo. We have been traveling to Cuba for more than 20 years, and the beach at this resort was absolutely outstanding. You can even go snorkeling off their beautiful walkway over the water, or if you prefer, you can go fishing! The cleanliness of the hotel is truly impressive. From the rooms to the grounds, public areas, and restaurants, everything was spotless. I couldn't find any faults. There was always someone cleaning, painting, and washing floors, which is a very important aspect of any resort. The buffet always had something to eat, and I want to give a special thanks to Edel for all his hard work. However, the restaurants were fantastic! Every meal we had was delicious, and the staff was extremely friendly. I especially enjoyed the white wine. The entertainment staff also did an outstanding job. Carlos, the General Manager, was always visible from early morning to evenings, ensuring that the customers were well taken care of and enjoying their stay. He is an incredibly valuable asset to this resort, and Melia is fortunate to have employees like Carlos on their staff. I wish everyone was as conscientious as he is, even here at home! I want to express my gratitude to everyone at Melia Cayo Guillermo for making our vacation an amazing one. We will definitely be returning.

The resort grounds were impeccably maintained, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. The new manager, Carlos, genuinely cared about each and every guest. The pool, entertainment, and activities were fantastic, and our boys especially adored the kids club, where they formed a special bond with Sally, who oversees the children. We send our warm regards to the Melia family and can't wait to return in the near future.

We requested maid service, but all she did was make the bed in a fancy way without replacing the stained blanket. I had to leave a note asking for a new one. Additionally, we also discovered blood stains on one of the pillows. Throughout our entire 7-day stay, the maid never changed the bed covers and simply folded and put back the dirty towels. The towels were never replaced. There was a lack of soap and shampoo, and the toilet was not cleaned at all during our stay. The bathroom did not have a door and faced the entry door of the room, which was quite inconvenient. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was quite bland, but we were aware that this is typical in Cuba. However, the beach itself was absolutely beautiful and the resort provided a peaceful atmosphere. If you're looking for a relaxing trip without high expectations, this resort might suffice. However, I still would not recommend it. If you're seeking entertainment, there are better options available. Overall, I would rate this resort a 6 out of 10, mainly due to the helpful staff and the stunning beach.

Great resort! We lucked out on our room and got a full, terrific view of the ocean. One of the drawers by the bed was completely broken and our safe broke halfway through and we had to get it fixed, but the safe was fixed promptly and everything else was okay! Very short walking distance to the famous Lobster Shack that's right on the beach of the neighbouring resort, the Grand Muthu. The staff were great, especially the bartender at the cigar bar! Make sure to visit the cigar bar and go to all the shows/events! The food is fine -- you get what you paid for, and it's Cuba, you're not coming for the food anyways! Would love to come back.

It was a bit pricey at $35, but it was a special treat for my vacation. Each beer was $5, which was reasonable. I do want to mention that there were some reports of a dirty washroom, but I personally used it twice and didn't find any issues. There is a flush water bucket for the toilet, which may seem unusual, but it's not a big deal. The beach is right there, so the water is filled up by an employee. There were also reports of no toilet paper, but that is false. As for hand sanitizer, if it was important to me, I would have brought my own, which I did. Oh, and there is plenty of sanitizer available at the front entry if you keep your eyes open. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience. One of the drawers by the bed was completely broken and our safe broke halfway through and we had to get it fixed, but the safe was fixed promptly and everything else was okay! Very short walking distance to the famous Lobster Shack that's right on the beach of the neighbouring resort, the Grand Muthu. The staff were great, especially the bartender at the cigar bar! Make sure to visit the cigar bar and go to all the shows/events! The food is fine -- you get what you paid for, and it's Cuba, you're not coming for the food anyways! Would love to come back.

The driver was very accommodating and dropped us off at the boardwalk leading to the beach. He also picked us up at our requested time. Upon arriving, we were offered comfortable loungers with parasols for shade. For only $5 Canadian, we were able to relax in style. We were even offered drinks for an additional $10. A local approached us with an opportunity to take a boat tour to a nearby island for a chance to swim at a semi-private beach. Although we didn't take the offer, it looked like a popular option. As we strolled along the beach, we stumbled upon a charming restaurant with all the amenities. The sand was incredibly soft and white, and the loungers with parasols provided excellent shade coverage. The VIP service we received from the restaurant

You can even go snorkeling off their beautiful walkway over the water, or if you prefer, you can go fishing! The cleanliness of the hotel is truly impressive. From the rooms to the grounds, public areas, and restaurants, everything was spotless. I couldn't find any faults. There was always someone cleaning, painting, and washing floors, which is a very important aspect of any resort. The buffet always had something to eat, and I want to give a special thanks to Edel for all his hard work. However, the restaurants were fantastic! Every meal we had was delicious, and the staff was extremely friendly. I especially enjoyed the white wine. The entertainment staff also did an outstanding job. Carlos, the General Manager, was always visible from early morning to evenings, ensuring that the customers were well taken care of and enjoying their stay. He is an incredibly valuable asset to this resort, and Melia is fortunate to have employees like Carlos on their staff. I wish everyone was as conscientious as he is, even here at home! I want to express my gratitude to everyone at Melia Cayo Guillermo for making our vacation an amazing one. We will definitely be returning.

One of the drawers by the bed was completely broken and our safe broke halfway through and we had to get it fixed, but the safe was fixed promptly and everything else was okay! Very short walking distance to the famous Lobster Shack that's right on the beach of the neighbouring resort, the Grand Muthu. The staff were great, especially the bartender at the cigar bar! Make sure to visit the cigar bar and go to all the shows/events! The food is fine -- you get what you paid for, and it's Cuba, you're not coming for the food anyways! Would love to come back.

I absolutely adored this beach! The scenery was breathtaking and the experience was unforgettable. Instead of taking the free shuttle from the resort, we opted for a cab ride which only cost $5 Canadian each way. The driver was very accommodating and dropped us off at the boardwalk leading to the beach. He also picked us up at our requested time. Upon arriving, we were offered comfortable loungers with parasols for shade. For only $5 Canadian, we were able to relax in style. We were even offered drinks for an additional $10. A local approached us with an opportunity to take a boat tour to a nearby island for a chance to swim at a semi-private beach. Although we didn't take the offer, it looked like a popular option. As we strolled along the beach, we stumbled upon a charming restaurant with all the amenities. The sand was incredibly soft and white, and the loungers with parasols provided excellent shade coverage. The VIP service we received from the restaurant
