His unfinished masterpiece Neuschwanstein Castle, inspired the likes of the Walt Disney logo and the motion picture Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Once done at the castle we make our way to some of my favourite beer gardens and breweries where we discuss the history, culture, and tastes of Bavaria's beloved beverage; beer.

Today Garmisch is the number one winter sports venue in Germany offering some of the best skiing in the land, including runs on Germany’s highest peak, the Zugspitze (2964m). The town is also famous for having hosted the 1936 Winter Olympics along with the International Alpine Skiing Championships in 1978 and 2011. We stop along the way to try some chocolate before hopping on the city bus to Garmisch where we are entertained at Zum Bauer with pretzel making, history, and the opportunity to make our own !
