The lodge is indeed beautiful and well-maintained, but unfortunately lacks any kind of atmosphere. Additionally, the unfriendly attitude of the French owner makes it feel like a burden to be there, which may explain why many of the staff appear solemn. We heard of two other guests who had a disagreement with her. Moreover, there is only one option available for dinner on the menu, and it is considerably more expensive compared to other places we visited in Madagascar. Although the absence of running water is not a deal breaker, it would be wiser to save your money and visit Peter Pan down the beach on the other side of the village. It offers a significantly lower price, as well as running water, electricity, and a diverse and delicious menu combining Italian and Malagasy cuisine.

The bungalows are fantastic, as well as the staff, food, and restaurant. They even provide reliable electricity and solar hot water heaters that directly supply the bungalows. The beach access is lovely, complete with comfortable lounge chairs and shaded areas. Just remember to bring enough cash in ariary or euros to settle the bill, as they do not accept cards or other currencies. While they don't offer any activities like scuba diving or kayak rental, you can easily organize them with Il Chameleon or Longo Vezo, which are just a 15-minute walk away down or up the beach.
