The room in the villa is spacious, with high ceilings and air conditioning in the bedroom. The facilities are a bit worn out and rusty, but still decent for a beach resort. Insect repellent is a necessity everywhere due to the abundance of bugs, but it's a good thing that mosquito nets are provided on every bed. There is a queen-sized bed and a single double decker bed for children. I really like their shampoo, soap, and conditioners. However, toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided, so remember to bring your own. They also don't provide room slippers. Instead of key/card locks, each villa has a safe box, and the doors are closed using a wooden latch. They offer three meals a day at the restaurants, and they have cartoon movie screenings at 7pm, such as Finding Nemo and Frozen. I love the large umbrellas available at each villa. The meals aren't the most fancy, but they are creative and delicious. Breakfast includes a main dish, tea/coffee, and a buffet with fruits, roasts, and juice. Lunch and dinner offer several options for starters, mains, and desserts. You can rent sea activity equipment at the dive and activities center. Snorkeling goggles, flippers, and life jackets are available for free loan, but they must be returned before 6pm each day. Sea activities, like snorkeling, are self-guided with no instructor. Each beach has plenty of corals, so it's best to check with the staff to find out which beaches are safer and the best times for snorkeling. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. If you need a first aid kit or extra towels, they are readily available at the reception. I recommend going to the beach early in the morning, around 7-8am, if you want to see baby sharks. If you're interested in witnessing turtle hatching and release, it's a good idea to leave your name and contact information at the dive and activities center on the first day, although it's subject to luck. I love Batu Batu for its pristine beaches, crystal clear sea, beautiful corals, and romantic sunsets. Don't forget to visit the restaurant between 6-7pm to catch the sunset.

We had a wonderful time at Batu Batu Resort with our family and 8-month-old baby. The staff were exceptional - incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful. Their positive energy always put us in a good mood. We want to give a special mention to Restaurant Manager Sam, Jo-Ji, and Dhurga for taking care of us. The food was delicious, and there was a good variety throughout our four-day stay. The kitchen even prepared tasty puree food for our baby, which was a thoughtful gesture. The beaches were stunning, with a diverse marine life. It was a nice touch that they provided free snorkels and fins. The only areas that could use improvement were the rooms, as the air-conditioner felt old and the toilet fittings were a bit outdated. However, the Spa was absolutely amazing. My wife and I had fantastic massages, with Gina giving me one of the best massages I've ever had at a resort. Overall, we had a fantastic time at Batu Batu!
