We had a great time at Nexus! It really depends on your expectations - if you're looking for a brand new, fancy, and modern place, this might not be for you. However, for the price we paid, the resort exceeded our expectations. The room was upgraded from garden view to sea view, which was a nice surprise. The room had a wooden style, good air conditioning, and a lovely balcony with a sea view. The bathroom was a bit old but had everything we needed, including a bathtub and shower with hot water.
The resort had plenty of activities, and we spent most of our time at the pool and beach. The pool was large with separate areas for kids and adults. The resort offered free activities like morning stretching, which we enjoyed for four days. We also took a surfing class, rented surfboards and kayaks, and went fishing. The staff were all friendly and made us feel like VIP guests.
The food prices were reasonable, and the breakfast buffet had many options. The spa was relaxing, and we took advantage of the happy hour drinks and live music at Horizon. The resort is surrounded by nature, and we saw local wildlife like lizards, squirrels, monkeys, birds, and even otters in the pond.
While the resort is not close to town, it's a great place to slow down and relax for a few days. We also recommend the seafood restaurant "Our Land" about 30 minutes away. Overall, the atmosphere and environment at Nexus were fantastic, and we're already planning to return in April. If you enjoy surfing, consider visiting before April for a good deal and fewer crowds.

My family and I recently stayed at this hotel for one night in two rooms. Overall, our experience was mixed, with mostly negative aspects. Despite booking through the official website, the reception initially claimed they couldn't find our reservation on the day of our arrival. After some discussion, they eventually located our booking but informed us that our rooms were not yet ready. We arrived at 4 PM and had to wait an additional hour for our rooms to be prepared for check-in.
We were given vouchers for welcome drinks at the cafe near the main lobby, but the drinks turned out to be just chilled juice, nothing special.
As for the room, it was spacious, which was a plus, especially with kids. The interior design was decent, and a smart TV was provided that allowed you to watch movies from your phone. However, the slow wifi connection provided by the hotel led to buffering while watching movies. The toilet floor was slippery, and cleanliness was lacking. The bath tub had a damaged pull-out cable for hanging clothes, and the air conditioning was subpar.
The facilities were outdated and in need of renovation, but the location was great, being close to the beach and having good pools.
Breakfast was disappointing, with limited food choices and poor taste. Refills were slow, and there was only one coffee machine for all guests, leading to long queues at the egg station and coffee area.
Overall, the hotel has potential but requires significant improvements. The price for a one-night stay was not justified by the experience. While Google Maps labeled it as a 5-star hotel, I would rate it as a 3-star, possibly 4-star at best.
