Having traveled to the Maldives multiple times, staying at luxury properties like Cheval Blanc, Four Seasons, and One&Only, we always find ourselves returning to Vakkaru. What sets Vakkaru apart is its genuine hospitality and the natural beauty of the island. The staff here is exceptional, going above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. They take the time to personalize each guest's experience, creating truly memorable moments. This starts with our amazing butler Nouha, as well as the General Manager and Executive Chef Driss. Their focus on customer experience is outstanding, continuously surpassing expectations.
Furthermore, the island's natural beauty is breathtaking. The clear blue waters, white sandy beaches, and lush vegetation create an oasis that cannot be replicated. Unlike other properties that may feel artificial, such as One&Only or Cheval Blanc, Vakkaru is a genuine property in a natural setting, adding to its charm.
Overall, I highly recommend Vakkaru to anyone seeking a luxurious and authentic Maldives experience. It is a place where you can relax, unwind, and create unforgettable memories. The management is attentive and proactive, always striving to accommodate guests' needs. A special thank you to Iain McCormack and his incredible team.
We have had the pleasure of staying at Vakkaru seven times, and each visit has been a complete delight. From the moment we arrive on the island, we are captivated by its beauty - the crystal-clear waters, pristine white sand beaches, and lush greenery.
However, what truly sets Vakkaru apart is its staff. The team is exceptional and professional, always going above and beyond to ensure guests are comfortable and happy. They are attentive to every need and take the time to establish personal connections with their guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that is hard to match.
The hotel's facilities have a simple and sleek design. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, equipped with modern amenities and offering stunning ocean views from our deluxe beach villa. The dining options are fantastic, with a wide variety of delicious choices. We particularly love the Grill, where Ibbe provides exceptional service. A big applause to the entire Vakku restaurant team and Chef Mansoor for their outstanding culinary offerings. Additionally, the kids club is wonderful and our 8-year-old daughter absolutely loves it. We extend our gratitude to Kristina, Ana, Ina, Maee, and Aisha for taking such good care of our child. As parents, the quality of the staff and activities in the kids club is a crucial factor in choosing a property.
In summary, Vakkaru is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a luxurious and unforgettable vacation in the Maldives. The island's natural beauty, combined with its exceptional staff and facilities, make it the perfect destination to relax, unwind, and create lasting memories.

This hotel was hands down the best one we've ever stayed at. The service is absolutely flawless. Our butler, Iby, was absolutely incredible and we couldn't have asked for more. The breakfast is a delightful combination of buffet and a la carte options, with a wide variety of choices. Dinner, which is a la carte, is simply amazing. One of the highlights of our stay was the cinema on the beach, which felt like a dream come true. The staff truly goes above and beyond to ensure that your stay is unforgettable. I was initially quite nervous about trying snorkelling, but the team at Splash were remarkably patient, cautious, and knowledgeable. I ended up snorkelling every single day. I even mustered up the courage to try scuba diving, and once I did, I didn't want to stop. Throughout my diving experience, I had an instructor named Ifran who was incredibly patient and attentive. If you ever have the desire to try scuba diving, this is definitely the place to be. I never thought I would feel so secure 10 meters below the surface. I highly recommend the turtle and manta ray snorkelling trips. What drew us to this resort was the presence of a house reef (which not all hotels have) and the fact that it is a natural island, not man-made. Overall, it was an absolutely unreal experience and a destination that should be on everyone's bucket list.
