The beach was overpriced considering what it had to offer. The underwater room was absolutely stunning and the water was beautiful, making it worth the price. However, the requirement to stay in the on-land rooms in order to book the underwater room was terrible. The rooms were infested with bugs because there were no glass or screens on the windows, resulting in bugs being everywhere. The food was below average and often made us feel sick. Although including spa treatments was a nice touch, the spa service was terrible. The staff clearly had no training in massage, which made the experience painful and uncomfortable. The wait staff went above and beyond, which was great, but overall, everything fell short of expectations given the price paid. There were too many bugs, inadequate air conditioning, and a lack of options for cold cocktails (which are desired on a beach). We visited during Christmas, but there was no sign of a Christmas tree or any holiday greetings. Additionally, we were there for our honeymoon, but they didn't do anything special for us or even acknowledge it. They did arrange one private dinner, but it seemed like a routine gesture for all guests. If it wasn't so expensive, we wouldn't have expected as much, but at this price point, they should have delivered much more.

This beach resort provided a unique and unforgettable experience with stunning views and comfortable rooms. The underwater room was particularly amazing, allowing me to snorkel and witness incredible marine life. The resort services and hospitality were exceptional, with inclusive meals, drinks, and activities. The Pemba Inland excursion was informative and enjoyable, while the Ngalawa sunset excursion and Sandbank excursion were both incredible. The fishing trip was a fun and educational experience. Overall, I am incredibly grateful to the staff for making this vacation so special.
