My friends and I had a wonderful mini trek in this area with our beach flip-flops. The jungle to Tonsai was actually worth exploring. Just bring with you some mosquito or insect repellants.
Also, Tonsai sand is pebble-like, so you should wear your flipflops. Aslo, if the tide is low, you have to walk a bit far to reach the deep part. Actually we didn't stay long here and just went to Phra Nang. I bet, it's nicer if the tide is high.
As always, depends what you’re looking for. My partner and I wanted to avoid crowds for the most part, and have a bit of quiet, while still have access to some amenities.
As this was a semi backpack type trip, we ended up finding a spot in this area for very cheap.
After setting up, over our two weeks this has been our favourite beach.
We love waking up, having breakfast and watching the rock climbers / boulderers do their thing.
In the evening, there’s been ethereal music playing, a small fire show tonight, and generally chill vibes.
We will be back.
