Is a great idea and a great place too, is overcrowded(weekends) and is a potent odor.
We come here often, I suggest to come early to secure a spot and if possible not in weekend.
Is a water play playground for kids and a lovely little train that takes you for a 15min ride.Drinks, coffee and food available. 🚉💙👍

Ruislip Lido gave me a conflicting impression. I was let down by the unpleasant smell of the water, but the forest area surrounding the sandy shores was absolutely ideal for leisurely strolls. The delightful presence of ducks and seagulls added a lovely touch. I do wish I had the chance to take a train ride though.
