Monte Rio beach is located on the Caribbean Sea (part of South Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 228th place out of 246 beaches in the Dominican Republic region 81.6 km away from its center, the city of Santo Domingo. It is one of the beaches of Azua settlement, just 5.4 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.
