Plages des Minimes is located on the Biscay bay (part of North Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 45th place out of 52 beaches in the Charente-Maritime region 2.5 km away from its center, the city of La Rochelle. It is one of the beaches of Besselue settlement, just 2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a small bay with blue water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is very crowded place during the season.
