Monk beach is located on the Mediterranean Sea and it is in the 173th place out of 478 beaches in the Crete region 155.7 km away from its center, the city of Kastelli. It is one of the beaches of Agia Roumeli settlement, just 2 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, surrounded by the cliffs. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a straight coastline with crystal turquoise water and gray fine pebble, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, hikers etc. It is not crowded place during the season. Moreover, this beach is popular with naturists.

We indulged in the pure serenity of the beach, basking in the sun in our natural state for five to six hours. We even swam a distance of 200 meters to reach the stunning Feix Beach. The only interruption was the occasional far-off boat, as the beach remained unoccupied."
