Menies Beach is located on the Sea of Crete (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 59th place out of 478 beaches in the Crete region 176.6 km away from its center, the city of Kastelli. It is one of the beaches of Afrata settlement, just 10.3 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.
It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and light sand & pebble cover, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.
