Spiaggia Fanusa is located on the Ionian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 43th place out of 45 beaches in the Siracusa region 6.5 km away from its center, the city of Syracuse. It is one of the beaches of Milocca settlement, just 0.6 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.
It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and brown sand & rocks cover, so it is highly recommended to wear special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season. There is a campsite located nearby.
Despite the fact that a significant part of the beach is occupied by resorts, there is still a fairly large area with free access. The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area.
