Praia da Balanca is located on the North Atlantic Ocean (part of Atlantic ocean) and it is in the 107th place out of 123 beaches in the Algarve region 65.6 km away from its center, the city of Faro. It is one of the beaches of Lagos settlement, just 2.1 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.
It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is quite sharp. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.
