Playa Los Bohios is located on the Caribbean Sea (part of South Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 76th place out of 224 beaches in the Puerto Rico region 57.5 km away from its center, the city of San Juan. It is one of the beaches of Maunabo settlement, just 1.9 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a long lasting coastline with turquoise water and gray sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Playa Los Bohios is located in Puerto Rico within Maunabo, which makes it not only easily accessible, but even popular among tourists. However, during the high season it is quite uncrowded, which allows you to spend a comfortable time on the coast.

"The beach is stunning to look at, but the water is quite choppy and may have rip currents, making it unsuitable for novice swimmers. The black sand is a unique feature, and there is even a river delta nearby. Unfortunately, there is a fair amount of natural debris due to Hurricane Maria in 2017, and the beach doesn't seem to have been well maintained since then. However, the..."
