Playa Mosquito is located on the Caribbean Sea (part of South Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 180th place out of 224 beaches in the Puerto Rico region 91.7 km away from its center, the city of San Juan. It is one of the beaches of Culebra settlement, just 3.5 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a spacious bay with blue water and bright sand & rocks cover, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season.

"We enjoyed this beach as it had a mix of sandy and rocky areas. Since we arrived by boat, I can't really comment on the accessibility by land. The snorkeling experience was quite impressive, I would rate it around 8 out of 10. Despite it being a Friday, there weren't too many other visitors around."
