Lido Horw is located on the Lake Lucerne and it is in the 5th place out of 12 beaches in the Lucerne region 4.5 km away from its center, the city of Lucerne. It is one of the beaches of Winkel settlement, just 0.6 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a straight coastline with crystal turquoise water and grass, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season. There is a campsite located nearby.

"It’s a good place to lie down and enjoy the sunshine. However it is not the widest beach, with it’s water of course being as clean as the lake can be with reeds and everything else from nature. I would still recommend it, if you are in Horw or around the area. The entrance for an adult for the day is 5 CHF."
