Nakupenda Beach (Zanzibar Urban/West) is located outside the Zanzibar City settlement, which may cause some difficulties for travelers who stay far from the coast. The beach stretches on the coast of the Sandbank and the correct question is not how to get to Nakupenda Beach, but what mode of transport can be used to get to it, because this part of the coast is inaccessible by land. The beach can only be reached by water and you have to rent a boat to get there.

"Despite the inclement weather, I had a fantastic time at the location. I recommend renting a boat privately (I paid 50000 shillings) and heading out early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the 700-strong crowd! One thing that stood out to me was the care taken by the staff and tour guides in maintaining the cleanliness of the area by picking up any litter left..."
