The beach is a serene and peaceful spot, perfect for a relaxing day out with family and friends. It offers great opportunities for barbecuing, swimming, and lounging under rented chairs and umbrellas. The nearby restaurants serve delicious food, making it a complete package for a fun-filled day. However, it's advisable not to bring your own car as parking spaces are scarce and hard to find. Instead, opt for an Uber ride from Shau Kei Wan for a hassle-free experience.
Turtle Cove can be easily accessed from Chaiwan by minibus or the Number 14 bus from Grand Promenade at Sai Wan Ho. It is a small and very quiet beach with a great view of the open ocean, sky, and mountains in the background. It is perfect for swimming and feels like a private beach. The only downside is that you have to walk about 150 meters down from the main road Tai Tam Road near Red Hill to reach it. However, once you make your way back up to the main road, you have the option to explore the trails of Tai Tam Reservoir at the south entrance or visit the Tai Tam Bay pier. It is definitely worth spending half a day here. This review was written on June 24, 2022.
