Big Wave Bay Beach is located on the South China Sea (part of Pacific ocean) and it is in the 7th place out of 87 beaches in the Hong Kong region The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is very crowded place during the season.

"I visited this beach once more on September 13, 2022 and found a parking spot in a metered area. There were surfers around, but I was able to swim parallel to the buoy line and reach the outer edge of the designated swimming zone. The waves in the bay were noticeably larger compared to other beaches in Hong Kong."
