Obojena beach

This beach is truly a delightful location with an abundance of opportunities for swimming. The crystal-clear water is pristine, and it is an ideal spot for children who are learning to swim. It is important to note that the beach is covered in pebbles rather than sand, so it is recommended to bring beach shoes if you have sensitive feet. However, the only drawback to this otherwise idyllic location was the amount of litter strewn about. Cigarette butts and bits of plastic and wrappers were unfortunately prevalent, and they tended to adhere to both you and your towel.

This beach is truly exceptional. Although it may be on the smaller side, the only downside is the occasional busy car park. However, the drive through the winding and narrow roads is absolutely worth it.

Prva Voda beach

The beach is an amazing spot that offers a breathtaking view of the docks, the picturesque Marjan park, the majestic mountains, and the charming houses. However, it is essential to be cautious while swimming as the water is home to sea urchins. Nonetheless, the overall experience is cool, and you can relish the stunning scenery.

Sumica beach

This beach is an excellent spot for families with children, and there's even a coffee vending machine where you can grab a delicious coffee to go for just 8kn. The coffee is definitely better than what you'd get from other vending machines. They've recently added a new playground for kids and an outdoor gym for adults. However, there are no restrooms available, but there is a shower with clean and refreshing cold water.

Upon reading the reviews, I was under the impression that the beach would be a delightful destination. However, my experience proved otherwise. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this beach as it is plagued with an overwhelming amount of litter that renders it disgustingly unappealing. Even for scuba diving enthusiasts, the sea is also littered with trash, making it an unsuitable location for such an activity. If you still wish to visit, be forewarned that the beach is home to a plethora of sea urchins, necessitating the use of water shoes. Additionally, the waves are quite strong, making diving an unsafe endeavor. All things considered, swimming or diving at this beach is not a pleasant experience. It may look picturesque in photos, but the reality is quite different.
