It's a mystery to me why so many people claim that the only way to reach this beach is by boat. There's actually a land route that can be taken in a variety of ways. To make things easier, I suggest downloading the alltrials app, which has detailed descriptions of the different routes. It's important to wear comfortable shoes (no flip-flops, please!) as the road can be quite steep at times. On rainy days, I'd recommend avoiding the beach altogether as the descent can be treacherous. Once you arrive, there are plenty of things to do. You can take a boat to Las Galeras (although it can be a bit pricey at 2000-2500 for two people), or you can enjoy drinks and food at the beachside bar.
