This small sandy beach located in a cozy bay is simply fantastic. The gradual slope into the water ensures that the waves break gently, making it an ideal spot for kids of all ages. Moreover, the beach is conveniently situated along a coastal walk, offering visitors the chance to get a higher vantage point and enjoy breathtaking views.
This beach is absolutely beautiful and conveniently located within walking distance of Huttopia Douarnenez, the campsite we stayed at. It's about a 10-minute walk down either the steep, winding roads or the 54 stairs, though it's definitely easier to get there by foot than it is to make your way back up. While there are a few local bars (tabac), there aren't any shops nearby, so make sure you're prepared if you plan on spending the day there. The sand is cleaned on a regular basis and the water is crystal clear. We visited during the off-season when schools were back in session, so it was fairly quiet. However, I could see it getting quite crowded during the holidays.
This beach holds a special place in our hearts as it was a favorite spot during our childhood and adolescent years. It has a wild and enchanting quality that remains magnificent despite the changes brought on by winter storms. Although the water is not typically warm, it is consistently clear, transparent, and refreshing. It's perfect for young children to play in during low tide, but it's important to exercise caution when the tide is high.
This is a great spot to catch a stunning sunset and enjoy a beautiful beach that's safe for kids.
The beach offers stunning scenery and is pleasantly uncrowded even during peak season. It's absolutely fantastic!
