We decided to check out Dunes 1 and 2 beaches. These beaches are absolutely stunning, with fine sand and occasional pebbles depending on the tide. The waves are beautiful and perfect for having a great time.

Creve Coeur beach

We stumbled upon this incredible beach on the final day of our vacation, and it was a serene and heavenly experience.

Saint Gilles Croix de Vie

This beach is undoubtedly the most stunning sandy beach in the vicinity. During the summer, it tends to get quite busy due to the presence of restaurants and cafes. Unfortunately, there seems to be a slight littering issue which can be attributed to some inconsiderate and lazy visitors. Nonetheless, if you venture about 1km south, the beach becomes truly fantastic and ideal, especially for families with young kids. There are lifeguards on duty during the summer, and the waves are perfect for surfing. However, it's worth noting that accessing the beach from Rue de la Roche Bonneau can be challenging with a pram or wheelchair.

Demoiselles beach

This beach is fantastic. The sand is beautiful and the presence of many lifeguards on duty is reassuring. Additionally, there is ample parking nearby.

Bernerie beach

It's a fantastic spot for swimming, even during low tide when the basin is still accessible.

Boisvinet beach

This beach is located just a few minutes from the town center and is situated by the entrance of the town harbor. While it's okay to swim during high tide, the water quality isn't great when the water level drops, and there's a lot of algae and mud. Additionally, sailing boats use this area, which limits the space for swimming. However, there are lifeguards and a natural water basin. The sand grains are quite large, making it difficult for kids to build sandcastles. There are bars and beach volleyball courts available, and it's a great spot to watch the fireworks on July 14th.

The warmest month during the year in this area is July, with the air temperature rising up to 22.1°C and the water temperature up to 20.3°C. The coldest month is January, with the air temperature dropping down to 9.2°C and the water temperature down to 9.9°C.
