This pristine sandy shoreline is truly exceptional, boasting a vigilant coastguard during the peak season of August. You'll find an abundance of comfortable seating options, complete with umbrellas, for a nominal fee of just 10€ for two seats and one umbrella. The water is delightfully shallow for an extended distance, making it an ideal destination for families with young children. Additionally, the beach features a delightful bar and a nearby taverna, both of which offer excellent food and drink options.

The beach is incredibly spacious and stunning, offering breathtaking sunsets. However, accessing it can be challenging, especially during scorching weather, making it more suitable for those who are physically fit.

The beach's stunning beauty is truly awe-inspiring, leaving visitors breathless. Although parking may prove to be a challenge, it is still feasible. Walking is a must, but it offers a chance to take in the surrounding scenery. Once at the end of the stairs, make a right turn and traverse over rocks and dry weeds for approximately five minutes. Before stepping foot on the small, sandy bay, it is recommended to remove your shoes. Despite its minuscule size, the beach boasts natural shade, which varies depending on the time of day. With a bit of luck, you may have the pleasure of sharing the tranquil beach with a few serene sunbathers and snorkelers. However, if luck is not on your side, you may find yourself sharing the space with a group of boisterous youths who enjoy jumping off rocks, blasting music, and disrupting the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. Ultimately, the experience you have at this charming beach is entirely dependent on the luck of the draw. 😊

This charming beach boasts a cozy bar and comfortable loungers available for rent at a reasonable price of E7 for an umbrella and two loungers, as of August 20th. The staff is incredibly welcoming, and the menu, although limited, offers delicious options that won't break the bank. The water is crystal clear and shallow, making it an ideal spot for families with young children. Additionally, there is ample parking available, and the slope leading down to the beach is gentle and manageable.

Makris Gialos beach

This beach in Kefalonia is well-known and conveniently located near Argostoli, only a 10-minute drive away. The water is stunning, but it's important to note that it can get extremely crowded and expensive. The parking lot is fairly large. The beach has both organized and unorganized areas, with the organized section being quite costly compared to other beaches on the island. However, we were able to find a more affordable option at the Blue Paradise beach bar. While some reviews suggested that outside food and drinks were not allowed, we had a positive experience with friendly waiters who didn't mind us bringing our own snacks and water. We even had lunch there without any issues. Unfortunately, there is no shade available, so it can get quite hot. If you opt for the unorganized area, be sure to bring your own umbrella. The water is crystal clear and warm, almost like a pool, but it's too shallow for snorkeling.
